Kashmiri Keyboard Quick Guide
This unique keyboard allows you to type all Kashmiri vowel sounds on Microsoft Windows.
Installation:
- Run the setup file.
- In your system’s Control Panel under Regional Languages, remove the Arabic(Syria) keyboard.
- Search for Kashmiri(Arabic), add the Kashmiri Keyboard, and remove the Urdu keyboard.

- Recommended Font: For the best experience, download the ‘scheherazade’ font from https://software.sil.org/scheherazade/download/.
- Typing Features: It is phonetically designed for faster typing. Similar consonant sounds can be accessed using Shift + Key, and similar short/long vowel sounds are conveniently mapped together.
